Praying the rosary or meditating on how the Virgin Mary lived and how others got through difficult situations motivates me to keep going and never give up. She is a miracle, and represents one of the biggest devotions in Venezuela since 1652, when she appeared to the Cacique of the Cospes tribe in Guanare, Venezuela, urging him to be baptized. Initially resisting, the Cacique later attempted to seize her, but she vanished, leaving a tiny, miraculous parchment image in his hand. She was declared the Patroness of Venezuela in 1942.

The image prototype about saints is a human representation, but it’s never a perfectionist Renaissance approach. In my opinion, when seeing the world, those helpers, protectors, angels, or saints can have different representations or expressions depending on the culture.
